This past Sunday, I had the privilege to teach Sunday School. This is an adult, mostly older, members of the church.

The class goes by the name of Bereans after the church by the same name in Macedonia as described in Acts 17:11 – Now the Bereans were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined all the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Now, I don’t know how noble we are, but we love to study the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments. We have open discussion, and free to question any new ‘teaching’ that might come in.

So, from time to time I am offered a chance to teach the class.

My wife and I have together have taught the books of 1st and 2nd Timothy as well as Titus.

The lesson I taught several months ago took a look one of Christ’s parables in a modern setting.

I will admit that I have a vivid and vast imagination so I tend to look at bible stories with a wider view. Wondering what it means and expanding up on.

But what you must know is that I always begin with the scriptures, and end with the scriptures.

What is also import to me is that I will never hide my Christianity, but I will never force it upon anyone. Hopefully you will see it in the way I live. If I can’t represent Christ’s love for my neighbors, I’m doing Christianity wrong. I care about you, because Christ cares about you.

I plan to share the bible study in my next blog post.

You might be surprised to find there are dinosaurs in the lesson.

God bless you all.

(I wasn’t feeling well yesterday, so that’s why the blog is going up a day late).
